Day 10 - Wyoming Statehood Day

We are staying put for the time being in Laramie, WY......Today we headed to the Wyoming Territorial Prison...the place where they held Butch Cassidy....

It was free today to celebrate statehood....they also had hotdogs, watermelon and cake...however they had 400 people in the first hour and ran out of hotdogs....

It was a very cool place....
That would be my little hostess, Q....
I thought this was the coolest part of the place...
The inside of the house, one of the rooms..the next picture is from this room looking into the main room.
They also had various displays of old farm equipment and an "old" western town. The town was mainly a bunch of empty buildings, but a few were "dressed"
Homesteader cabin....
and a schoolhouse.....I thought it was a very interesting place to visit....they did have a display about Butch Cassidy, but the only picture I took was of a safe found a short distance from the train robbery, that they believe is the same safe that the gang blew up...
Then we went yarn shopping and ate ice cream....a good day....history, yarn and ice cream...
